Meeting 03-06-2010

Meeting started at 8

Alan Rowley promoted the use of the website and not only for Mini subjects. He also let everybody know that if there is an event that they would like to go to they should make it known. We always are willing to change the event list and try something new.

Steve Spence advised that he would like us to attend a show the 15th of August. The show is organised by a motorbike club and will collect money for 'help for heroes'. The Journal will be there to report on the event and it would be good advertisement for the club if we were to get a mention in the paper. People reacted positively. Steve Spence will find out the details.

Stephen Hudson will investigate the cost of T-shirts. Light blue T-shirts and navy blue fleeces. For new members the notion is that they should pay more contribution but will get a T-shirt in their welcome pack. Also it was felt that more time is needed when spend introducing new members to other club members to make them feel welcome.

For the club meeting everybody agreed that we need a more quiet place to hold it and the pub that we are in now is not suitable. Steven Spence will look for a new pub and will let everybody know his findings. There are some pubs not far from the current location and he will speak with the owners/managers.

New reliability insurance for the club will be paid again. Stephen Hudson and Ian Bell will take care of that.

Regarding the new website, everybody will need to re-register so all members will need to re-request access via a form in the website and should specify your preferred user name.

Sunday's run will be from Morpeth to Eyemouth where we will meet the Mini Clan from Scotland.
